More spam again despite McColo closure
Short:
- Number of unsolicited e-mail messages is growing continuously
- Spam will soon reach its all-time peak of 2008
After McColo, the world’s largest spam sender, was closed down at the end of 2008, a dramatic reduction in the number of spam sent could be observed all over the world. Unfortunately, people rejoiced a little too early at the time, because since then the volume of spam has been rising continuously again. In the near future, the old heights of 2008 will even be surpassed.
The proportion of desired e-mails has never been smaller.
Currently, only about 3.5% of the e-mails processed by SecuMail® are classified as “desired” and transmitted to the recipient.
