Another hospital is paralyzed by a virus
A computer virus was able to spread in the Fürth Clinic, it was very likely transported via e-mail. The entire IT infrastructure had to be disconnected from the Internet to prevent further spread. As a result, at times no more patients could be accepted and already planned operations and treatments had to be cancelled. The e-mail has probably successfully pretended to be an internal e-mail from a clinic employee and thus gained the necessary trust from the unfortunate employee. The Office 365 package used had not been able to detect the malware on the mail server. In addition to technical Advanced Thread Protection, the so-called awareness training of employees is increasingly coming into focus.
