Why we took part in an exchange program for students and trainees and why it is always worthwhile for everyone, you can find out in the following interview with Chris. Chris stayed with us for four weeks to get to know us, our work and SecuMail®. Martin, one of our trainees, is currently abroad to gain experience there, as Chris was able to gain with us. An interview about Martin’s impressions will follow….

Julia: Really nice to have you for a student exchange here at WorNet GmbH! After three weeks of exchange it ́s time for a little interview! What ́s your name, where do you come from and what are you doing during your student exchange at WorNet AG?

Chris: Hi! My name is Chris and i am from Denmark. In Denmark i ́m attending a school called Erhvers skole’. There i am studying to become an IT support specialist. At the moment i ́m in Germany to learn and observe the working environment and to see how IT systems operate.

Julia: Great! Can you tell me something about your learnings at WorNet AG?

Chris: Sure! I learned how to operate with LINUX systems, i configured some systems and i observed how to setup physical servers. I’ve also configured the Rasperrie Pie 5.

Julia: Wow! It ́s a lot in a few weeks! Was it interessting for you and would you recommend to other students to do a student exchange?

Chris: Yes, of course! It ́s always a success to learn about other cultures and taste the tipical bavarian food. I really love pretzels. If you are on a student exchange, you learn for the future. You learn to be more adventurous and to explore. You learn for life!

Julia: What was your funniest moment at WorNet AG?

Chris: Oh, we had a lot of funny moments…. I loved listening to the colleguages while they were speaking bavarian. Some words like “servers” and so on, i understood and some others I had to guess. This part was really fun.

Julia: Do you like Bavaria? Did you have any time for sightseeing? Do you have a special place which would you recommend to others?

Chris: Yes! Bavaria is beautiful! I liked Wolfratshausen and all the wonderfull nature with all the mountains, trees and lakes. I travelled around and visited Munich. My recommendation: Travel to Munich and get yourself lost! Don’t use your phone but talk to the bavarian people. You will discover so much more!!

Julia: That sounds great! What do you think, will you come back?

Chris: It would be fantatstic to come back because i learned a lot! I would love to come back to WorNet AG and keep learning! Thank you for beeing here and the opportunity to work with you!
