We would like to introduce you to our new trainee Mica Hunger with a short interview. The interview was conducted by Julia Wolff, sales employee.

To the interview:
Julia: Hello Mica, it’s great that you have been with us at WorNet AG since September 1st. Tell us, what do you do exactly?
Mica: Hello Julia! I am doing an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration; it lasts 2.5 years (shortened because of the Abitur) and is a practical training. This means that I work in the ongoing operation and have 12 weeks of vocational school per year.

Julia: Sounds exciting! Have you settled in at WorNet AG yet?
Mica: Yes in any case! I feel comfortable and I like it very much!

Julia: What have you learned so far? Where were you able to get involved yourself?
Mica: I was shown and explained how to set up a mail server. Then I was able to set up my own mail server, where I was able to implement the knowledge I had learned right away. By the way, this did not only affect topics related to the mail server in general, but also, for example, the handling of certificates.

Julia: Wow! It really sounds as if you, as an apprentice, are not only the spectator, but also the participant! Have you already been to vocational school?
Mica: Yes, September 12 was the first day of school. I go to the Municipal Vocational School for IT System Integration in Munich. It is close to the Olympia shopping center, so it is also easily accessible. Classes take place in block form and are full-time.

Julia: Why did you decide to become an IT specialist for system integration?
Mica: That’s a longer story. After giving up my studies (aerospace engineering), I was looking for something with more practical relevance. I already enjoyed computer science when I was a student, and I also see the profession as very promising for the future. I then did an internship at WorNet AG and it just fit!

Julia: What do you appreciate about WorNet AG?
Mica: I really appreciate the family atmosphere and the interaction with each other! I also have the feeling that I am receiving a good professional education and the best thing is that I have been able to solve tasks myself since day one. Of course, I can always ask for help and get support from all sides!

Julia: That really sounds like you’re satisfied. Would you recommend WorNet AG as an employer to other people?
Mica: Absolutely! Especially to people who, like me, appreciate a family atmosphere and want to work practically from the very beginning.
